Suido Kiko Launches 'Suio Safety U' Emergency Water Purification System Incorporating Field Insights from Disaster Sites

Suido Kiko Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Setagaya-ku, Tokyo; President: Toru Furukawa), a company engaged primarily in the design, construction, and management of water supply and environmental hygiene facilities, will begin sales of its new proprietary emergency water purification system, 'Suio Safety U,' in June 2026.

Over the years, the company has actively participated in water relief efforts during large-scale natural disasters such as the Great East Japan Earthquake, the Kumamoto Earthquake, and the Noto Peninsula Earthquake, providing emergency purification equipment to affected areas. The 'Suio Safety U' was developed by incorporating improvements and insights gained from these operations, particularly in situations where water outages were prolonged.

Designed to secure drinking water during the immediate aftermath of a disaster (the first week), the system is capable of being set up in just 30 minutes, addressing the critical shortage of supplies in the earliest stages of an emergency.

[Features of Suio Safety U] 'Suio Safety U' is an all-in-one emergency water purification system housed in a single frame, featuring a filtration pump, backwash pump, chemical dosing pump, and activated carbon filter.

1. Supports a wide range of water sources; produces enough drinking water for approx. 10,000 people daily. The system uses river water or swimming pool water as raw water and removes bacteria and E. coli. Equipped with a UF membrane, the standard processing capacity is 3,000 liters per hour. One day of operation can secure approximately 10,000 servings of drinking water (based on 3L per person per day) or daily life water for 1,000 people. 2. Capable of 1 week of continuous automatic operation. 3. Simple, user-friendly operation. 4. High mobility and ease of transportation. The compact design allows passage through standard doors. Equipped with 6-wheel casters for smooth movement, it can be set up by about 6 people in 30 minutes.
