Couple.net to Host '1 Million Matching Event' for Japanese Singles Worldwide

Couple.net, a global matching platform operated by Sunoo Inc., will host a '1 Million Matching Event' in conjunction with the Lunar Tanabata festival.

This event is a global online matching project targeting 1 million single men and women worldwide. Couple.net supports four languages—Japanese, English, Korean, and Chinese—facilitating connections across borders.

This project also serves as a launch event to expand the participation of Japanese singles worldwide, coinciding with the start of the Japanese version of Couple.net by the Japan branch of U.S.-based Sunoo Inc.

Japanese singles living in Japan, as well as those residing in the U.S., Canada, Australia, Europe, and other regions, are eligible to participate. The service focuses primarily on matching Japanese individuals.

Furthermore, global matching opportunities with Korean and Chinese users will be partially available for those interested.

Couple.net supports singles through various methods, including profile-based recommendations, online searches, AI-powered matching, value-based matching, and location-based global matching.

The '1 Million Matching Event' is an initiative to scale these online matching systems into a large-scale global event.

The participation fee is 3,000 JPY or 30 USD. After completing profile registration and identity verification, participants can receive introductions to up to nine members of the opposite sex between August 19 and August 26. If both parties agree, they may exchange contact information with up to three people.

Unlike traditional high-cost marriage agencies, Couple.net focuses on creating an environment where more single men and women can meet partners with reduced financial burden.
