Suzumo Machinery Co., Ltd. announced that it will host a kids' school program, 'SUZUMO Kids Creator 2026 Summer', at its Tokyo Office showroom (Nerima-ku, Tokyo) on Thursday, July 23, 2026. Participant registration has opened today. The event is free of charge and limited to 10 participants on a first-come, first-served basis.

In recent years, as children increasingly utilize digital devices, the importance of information dissemination literacy and experiential learning has been growing. This program is a collaborative project with the 'NPO Dougano Madoguchi Creative School'. It aims to foster the ability to proactively learn and communicate through experiences that combine food and technology. Following its inaugural run in the spring of 2026, this will be the second implementation of the program.

At the event, creators at the forefront of video production will impart their skills to children who have begun using their own digital devices. Concurrently, essential digital literacy education will be provided in a 1-day format blending lectures and hands-on experiences. The children will become 'Robot Introduction Producers' and challenge themselves to create short videos from their own perspectives. They will experience the entire process of video creation, from hands-on operation of the robots to filming, editing, and publishing the final short video.

On the day of the event, the business showroom, which is usually closed to the public, will be specially opened. Through hands-on operation of 'sushi robots' and 'rice serving robots' that support the food service industry, the event provides an opportunity to experience the affluent society realized by robots from the perspectives of both 'food education' and 'robot education'.

The event will run from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM and is recommended for elementary school students in grades 3 to 6. Participants are required to bring their own smartphones or tablets that they can operate freely, as well as their own lunch and drinks. Applications are being accepted through the event information page of the NPO Dougano Madoguchi Creative School.
