System5 Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, President & CEO: Yukihiro Ogawa) will begin shipping the A-band (Specific Radio Microphone) model for Japan of the UHF digital wireless system "THEOS" series by Deity Microphones (Shenzhen, China) starting Wednesday, May 20, 2026.
The "THEOS" series is a digital wireless system for professionals that achieves wideband, high sound quality, low latency, and multifunctionality.
Following the B-band model exclusively for Japan released in May 2025, the company is now launching the A-band model, which enables stable operation under a licensing system.
It is designed for on-set environments that demand a larger scale and high reliability, such as movie, drama, and TV program production, commercial production, large live events, stage performances, and sports broadcasting.
Features of the A-Band (Specific Radio Microphone) Model
### Stable Transmission Performance with up to 20mW Antenna Power While the general B-band antenna power is limited to 10mW, the A-band model supports a maximum output of 20mW. This makes it easier to secure a stable transmission distance compared to the B-band, reducing the risk of audio dropouts due to radio wave shielding and other influences.
### Support for a Wide Frequency Band Whereas the available range of the B-band is only a few MHz between 806.125MHz and 809.750MHz, this device supports a wide frequency band encompassing the TV white space band (550MHz-710MHz) and the band dedicated to specific radio microphones (710-713.7MHz). It allows for the flexible configuration of multi-channel operations, from fixed station operations to mobile station (location shoot) operations.
### Interference Suppression through Licensing System and Operation Coordination The A-band is a frequency band that can only be used by licensed radio stations. Since operation coordination with other parties is conducted in advance through the "Specific Radio Mic Operation Coordination Organization," unexpected radio interference can be avoided, maintaining clear audio transmission.
Main Features of THEOS Digital Wireless
- Next-Generation Wideband Digital UHF Transmission Wideband support ensures stable digital transmission even under severe radio environments. It eliminates noise specific to analog systems, supporting audio recording with a clear and wide dynamic range. - Advanced Remote Management with Sidus Audio App The dedicated app "Sidus Audio" allows monitoring and changing settings of multiple transmitters from a smartphone. Frequency scanning, gain adjustment, and battery level checking can be managed in bulk, improving on-site workflow efficiency. - Synchronization via Built-in Timecode Generator The transmitter features a built-in high-precision timecode generator. By synchronizing with an external timecode device, it simplifies the process of syncing video and audio during post-production. - Robust Design for Professional Sets The CNC-machined body, utilizing aerospace-grade aluminum alloy, ensures peace of mind even on harsh location sets. Powered by two AA batteries, battery management is easy even during long shoots.
