At Kyoto Tachibana University (Yamashina-ku, Kyoto; President: Tomohiro Okada), the RoboCup team 'KTU', consisting of students from the Faculty of Engineering's Department of Information Engineering and the Graduate School of Informatics, will compete in the RoboCup World Championship @Home League, held in Incheon, South Korea, from June to July 2026. The team operates as a joint team with Tokyo Information Design Professional University called 'TIDBots+KTU', working across university boundaries to improve research, development, and competitive performance. Furthermore, in April 2026, the joint team won the 'Domestic Standard Platform League Advanced Category' at the RoboCup Japan Open 2026 held at Shiga Daihatsu Arena. Based on the experience gained in such practical competitive environments, the students are currently working to further enhance their technical capabilities for the world championship. This includes improving the accuracy of human instruction understanding, object recognition, and task execution by robots, as well as increasing flexibility and stability to adapt to different competitive environments.
