Tachikawa Bus Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Tachikawa City, Tokyo; Representative: Satoshi Suzuki, President), part of the Odakyu Group, will welcome its original character 'Nyachikawa-san' as a new employee on April 1, 2026. 'Nyachikawa-san' was created in collaboration with San-X Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; Representative: Hiroshi Senda, President), known for Rilakkuma and Sumikko Gurashi, as part of their character project 'Charapro Friends'.
Additionally, the exterior design of the EV route buses has been renewed, with San-X creating a design that incorporates 'Nyachikawa-san' and the traditional red and white colors of Tachikawa Bus.
The seat designs of the route buses will also be changed to 'Nyachikawa-san' specifications for newly introduced vehicles.
Moving forward, Tachikawa Bus will continue to disseminate information through 'Nyachikawa-san' so that the local community can feel closer to us as a regional bus operator.
