Taiwa Gakuen Educational Foundation Appoints Mikito Tanaka as New President, Initiating New System Towards 100th Anniversary

Taiwa Gakuen Educational Foundation (Location: Kyoto City), a comprehensive hospitality education academy in Kyoto City offering vocational training in culinary arts, confectionery and baking, nutrition and medicine, and hotel, tourism, and bridal fields, announces that Mikito Tanaka, Vice President, has been appointed as President, effective April 1, 2026.

Seiji Tanaka, the former President and Chancellor, will now exclusively serve as Chancellor from the same date, continuing his dedication to improving the quality of education at the academy.

### New President Profile Born: 1986 in Kyoto City (39 years old) Final Education: Completed MBA at Kyoto University Graduate School of Management Career: Joined Taiwa Gakuen after working at a major IT company. From 2021, concurrently served as principal of three schools: Kyoto Culinary Arts Vocational School, Kyoto Confectionery and Baking Vocational School, and Kyoto Hotel, Tourism & Bridal Vocational School, as Vice President. Created various challenges for the corporation during the COVID-19 pandemic. Specifically, he led numerous industry-academia and regional collaboration projects, including promoting educational DX using VR (virtual reality) and generative AI.

Main Positions: Director of Kyoto City Lifelong Learning Promotion Foundation, Auditor of Kyoto Food Culture Association, Chairman of the Project Committee for "Support for International Students' Learning Promotion Project" of Kyoto Prefecture Specialized Training Colleges Association, etc.
