Takeshobo will release Volume 1 of "The Magician Couple Imprisoned for About 100 Years Travel the World," a comic adaptation of a novel by Mari Yoshino with art by Shino Maro, on Saturday, May 2, 2026. The story follows a magician couple on a journey around the world, and information on store purchase benefits and the serialization website has also been released.

Takeshobo Co., Ltd. (Location: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director and President: Sumitaka Miyata) will release Volume 1 of "The Magician Couple Imprisoned for About 100 Years Travel the World" (Original Story: Mari Yoshino; Art: Shino Maro) on Saturday, May 2, 2026.

Synopsis

Emilia, the daughter of a lord, possesses thousands of times more magical power than ordinary people, yet has a unique constitution that prevents her from using any magic. Deemed dangerous due to potential magic outbursts, she was isolated in a castle the day after her sixteenth birthday. Hindered by a strong barrier, she spent her days uneventfully, unable to leave or welcome anyone. However, one day, a magician claiming to be Emilia's fiancé arrived at the castle with a loud impact. Adorned in a robe only national magicians can wear, he, Allan, introduces himself as "your last fiancé." Unable to part due to certain circumstances, Allan and Emilia embark on a journey around the world, exploring how to live their lives from now on. What awaits them after various encounters and farewells...?

● Original Story: Mari Yoshino (https://x.com/stalemate) Born in Muroran, Hokkaido. Her youth mystery "The Ghost for Her" won the free division at the 4th Booklog Awards [2013]. After being re-titled, she debuted with the "Fujimoto An wa Gokigen Naname" (KADOKAWA) series. Other works include "Tokushu! - Special Claims Collection Office -" (KADOKAWA).
