Synopsis Orthos, the first prince only in name, is shunned by the legitimate queen due to his birth. Constantly targeted for his life, he suffers an assassination attempt in the castle and is protected by Elini, a magician belonging to the national army. Although their lives are saved, the two fall into a 'soul-severed' (kekkon) state, losing their shadows and becoming unconscious if they separate by more than four steps. Together with Yella, Orthos's only ally and friend, the three set out to repair their souls—a fantasy romance story woven by a transparent prince and a magician girl who never laughs!
