TAO Inc. (Location: Kusatsu City, Shiga Prefecture, CEO: Kazuaki Kurosawa), developer of the educational tablet learning material "Tenjin" which transforms homes into preschools, will add new content "Iroita" to the "Tenjin" preschool tablet version on July 7, 2026 (Tue). This content is the result of a "co-development project with customers," initiated by requests from "Tenjin" users saying, "It would be great if we could do tangram on Tenjin."

The parents who cooperated with this co-development project mentioned that they often saw introductions to educational toys, including tangram (geometric puzzles), on parenting accounts on social media like Instagram. "When I follow parents on Instagram, I often see introductions to toys like tangram. I thought it would be wonderful if all of these could be done on a single 'Tenjin' tablet, so I sent in a request for content."

Features of Tangram

Tangram is an educational puzzle where children move pieces of various shapes and sizes to complete a figure. It naturally fosters spatial reasoning skills by mentally manipulating pieces, geometric composition skills by combining shapes, and perseverance by tackling challenges without giving up.

Content to be Added This Time

We are adding tangram content titled "Iroita." Leveraging the features of tablet-based learning materials, children will complete pictures by moving and rotating pieces with their fingers. The content includes numerous familiar motifs for children, such as rain, small birds, and cats, categorized by difficulty level. When all pieces are in place, they animate, with faces appearing and backgrounds emerging. This animation was implemented based on customer feedback stating, "My child would be delighted if the completed picture moved, similar to the current 'coloring' content." We plan to further enrich the content to accommodate a wider range of difficulty levels in the future.

Feedback from Customers Who Cooperated with Co-Development

"It's exciting and very good that it turns into an illustration when completed. I think it's a unique feature of tablets. The 'click' sound when a piece fits is very satisfying. I also like that it clicks even if it's not the final correct position, as long as it fits the shape, which is great. Not having to buy various products from other companies and being able to do everything with just 'Tenjin' is incredibly helpful for our family. We hope you will continue to add more problems."

Creating Education Together

We received feedback that included not only positive points but also areas for improvement.

"The initial operation was difficult for my child to understand alone. It might have been better if there was one more step of small steps for my son."

Based on such candid opinions, we have made improvements for the July release.
