Fulfilling the GIGA School Program and its Challenges

With the GIGA School Program promoting the widespread adoption of one-device-per-child environments, the importance of learning tailored to each child's cognitive characteristics and individuality is increasing in view of the next curriculum guidelines. However, many challenges remain in the environment surrounding children, such as the increase in students absent from school and a lack of collaboration with learning opportunities outside of school. Against this backdrop, ICT CONNECT21 (Chairman: Junichi Yamashiro) established the "Diverse Learning SIG" as a platform to promote the sharing of practical knowledge, social implementation, and network formation for the realization of "diverse learning" through collaboration among various entities including public and private schools, communities, companies, and support organizations.

About Diverse Learning Conference 2026
