Multiple-birth support group 'tatamama' launches home nursing service 'tatacare'

General Incorporated Association tatamama (HQ: Fukuoka City, Fukuoka Prefecture; Representative Director: Chie Ushijima) will launch 'tatacare', a home nursing service primarily supporting multiple-birth families, on June 1, 2026. This project is led by a nurse couple who have experienced raising twins. Wife Kumiko Kato (tatamama Director/Head of Home Nursing Division) oversees both peer support and nursing, while husband Shuntaro Kato (Facility Manager) supports on-site operations. Furthermore, by being adjacent to the 'Children and Parents Heart Centennial Light Clinic' (opening June 15, 2026, in Ropponmatsu, Fukuoka City), led by pediatric psychiatrist and father of twins Shunya Kurokawa (tatamama Director), the project aims to create a new regional support model that delivers medical care and peer support in an integrated manner. By combining medical support from nurses with peer support from experienced multiple-birth parents, the service aims to address the isolation and childcare burdens often faced by these families, expanding 'a place to rely on with peace of mind' within the community.
