The complex sports and leisure facility "Ariake Urban Sports Park" (officially known as livedoor URBAN SPORTS PARK), located in Ariake, Koto-ku, Tokyo, has received the "Japan Real Estate Society Award" from the Japan Real Estate Society. The facility is operated by "Tokyo Sports Wellness Village Co., Ltd.," a consortium established by Tokyo Tatemono Co., Ltd. (the representative company), TSP Taiyo Inc., and AX-ON Inc.

The award recognizes outstanding achievements from the academic perspective of real estate studies.

### Reasons for the Award

The project was honored for repurposing temporary venues from the Tokyo 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games, successfully preserving the legacy while creating a new sports environment and disaster relief hub.

1. It preserved the legacy of the Olympic venues through a sustainable PFI business model. 2. It facilitated the continuation of nearby sports training facilities for people with disabilities, maintaining their unique architectural and creative elements. 3. It achieved financial independence through revenue-generating activities as a registered urban development group. 4. It successfully brought vitality to the surrounding area as an urban sports facility.

### Disaster Prevention Hub Functions

The facility is capable of sheltering over 1,000 people as a temporary refuge during disasters. It is stocked with disaster relief supplies, including emergency drinking water, food, and portable toilets. Additionally, the facility can maintain electrical power and air conditioning during power outages through a solar power generation system and the utilization of electric vehicles (EVs) as power sources.
