Starting July 4 (Sat) at 5:05 AM, the male four-member singing chorus group 'Monaki' will debut their regular radio program, 'Radio yade☆Monaki yanen☆shirankedo', on TBS Radio.
Monaki was formed by Junretsu leader Kazuyoshi Sakai, who held auditions and selected four members—Jin, Sakai Jr., Kenken, and Oyone—from approximately 1,000 applicants. They debuted on Nippon Crown this April and became a massive sensation through social media even before their debut. The program will highlight their 'approachability,' which was a major factor in their breakout success, and deliver a 15-minute segment that people of all ages can enjoy.
While expressing slight anxiety about handling their first radio program, asking, "Will we be okay?", the members also shared their enthusiastic determination, saying, "We want to deliver our four-way banter clearly" and "We hope our voices can energize listeners on Saturday mornings."
They will provide down-to-earth conversation with a sense of closeness to the listeners and sometimes tackle challenging projects. Please look forward to hearing Monaki's "voices of the moment" that can only be heard on this program.
