Tegara Corporation's TEGSYS division launched the 'Life Science Research Support Campaign 2026,' running from June 1 to December 31, 2026. Targeting universities, research institutes, and related businesses, the campaign aims to ease the burden of choosing and configuring PCs for data-heavy research. Customers purchasing qualifying workstations can select one of three benefits: storage upgrades (such as a free 4TB HDD for systems over 500,000 yen or an 8TB HDD for systems over 1 million yen, excluding tax), free labor for future hardware upgrades, or free setup services for open-source software (OSS). Tegara helps researchers configure systems based on specific applications, software, and upgrade paths. Proposed configurations include dual-CPU 512GB RAM workstations for large-scale genome analysis, sequence analysis/machine learning systems, compact Nanopore MinION Mk1D units, and dedicated AlphaFold3/GNINA molecular structure prediction nodes. The program supports both immediate performance needs and long-term hardware scalability.
