Persol Tempstaff Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; President: Kazunari Kimura; hereinafter referred to as Persol Tempstaff) will hold an online seminar on Saturday, August 1, 2026, for those aiming to become BIM engineers. The seminar will focus on BIM utilization specialized in the interior design field and acquiring practical skills. Additionally, career consultations will be offered to a limited 10 participants at our Shibuya office.

Amidst expanding construction investments and regulations on overtime work limits, the importance of introducing BIM/CIM*1 for productivity improvement is increasing, leading to a higher demand for professionals who can utilize these technologies in practice. This seminar will cover everything from BIM fundamentals to case studies and the skills required for professionals, supporting the career development of those with CAD practical experience.

Background: Accelerating Demand for BIM Professionals Due to Market Growth and Labor Shortages

The construction market has been expanding in recent years. According to the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism's "FY2025 Construction Investment Outlook," construction investment in FY2025 is projected to be 75.57 trillion yen (of which private investment is 50.36 trillion yen). Among private investments, private non-residential construction investment is expected to show a high growth rate of 8.7% year-on-year*2.

On the other hand, as of 2024, approximately 37% of construction industry workers are 55 years or older, and only about 11% are 29 years or younger, indicating an aging workforce and a projected shortage of engineers and skilled laborers in the future*3*4. In this context, BIM/CIM is being developed as a foundation to support productivity improvement and advanced operations, but the training of personnel who can utilize these technologies in practice remains a challenge.
