EV Construction Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director: Kosuke Nakagawa; hereinafter referred to as "our company"), a subsidiary of Terra Charge Co., Ltd. responsible for the installation and construction of EV chargers for Japan Bus Association members, has completed the installation of a 90kW split-type fast charger for EVs at the Kurihama Depot of Keikyu Bus Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Yokohama, Kanagawa; President and Representative Director: Akihiro Mori; hereinafter referred to as "Keikyu Bus").
Background
Towards the realization of carbon neutrality by 2050, the Japan Bus Association aims to introduce 10,000 EV buses by 2030, and the electrification of buses is accelerating among various bus companies.
Amidst this trend, Keikyu Bus Co., Ltd. has been proactively introducing the latest EV buses and charging infrastructure.
The installation work carried out by our company this time was part of Keikyu Bus Co., Ltd.'s charging infrastructure installation efforts. We were able to propose a layout that aims for easier usability.
Leveraging our extensive experience in the installation and operation of charging infrastructure, our services offer proposals for installation work optimized for subsidy utilization, ensuring no future waste and minimizing unnecessary costs in installation.
We will continue to carry out charger installation work that ensures the stable operation of safe and secure transportation for bus operators even after the introduction of EVs.
Details of Installed Charger
Kurihama Depot
Location: 2-11-1 Nagase, Yokosuka City, Kanagawa Prefecture
Charger Specifications: 90kW Fast Charger
* A split-type (cyclic multi) charger composed of three dispensers.
This introduction is an expansion, marking the second set of split-type chargers at the same facility.
By operating multiple sets of split-type chargers, which effectively utilize limited space, efficient charging operations for EV buses can be achieved.
