Hans., a singer-songwriter and producer with roots in New Zealand and South Korea, has released his latest single, 'coming and going.' The track features Sala, a Tokyo-based R&B artist known for her transparent vocals and emotional depth among Gen Z listeners.
Hans. first gained international acclaim in 2017 with his track 'Froyo' featuring Clairo, which has surpassed 20 million streams. Since then, he has supported global acts like Billie Eilish and pH-1. Sala, an emerging artist in Japan blending R&B, hip-hop, and pop, stayed in Australia for several months between 2025 and 2026. 'coming and going' was recorded during her visit to Sydney.
The music video, directed by Hans., was filmed at locations including Sydney Olympic Park and the residential area of Rhodes, along with footage from Shinjuku SPACE in Tokyo where Hans. performed his first Japan show in December 2025.
Hans. commented on the release: 'I love this song because it represents a sense of rising for me. Everything rushes in at once, and you just float up. The lyrics deal with a transitional period of many hellos and goodbyes.' He also noted that the video's visual style was influenced by artists like Fazerdaze and Ayano Kaneko.
'coming and going' is now available on all major streaming platforms.
