"Princess Gala The Ballet Show," the first gala performance by "The Ballet Show," is a special production themed "Everyone is a Princess." It brings together popular characters and memorable scenes from the company's past works, including "Aladdin," "Snow White," "Beauty and the Beast," and "The Nutcracker." Not only princesses and princes, but also villains will appear, creating a dream stage where diverse characters intersect beyond the boundaries of their original works, presented with "The Ballet Show"'s unique staging. For this casting, breaking away from traditional ballet conventions, a diverse range of characters such as "Princess," "Prince," "Villain," and "Chaos" will appear, creating a unique world view for The Ballet Show where their individual personalities and stories intertwine. In conjunction with this performance, crowdfunding began on March 25, 2026 (Wednesday) at 7 PM. We will also introduce a new initiative incorporated into the "Princess Gala The Ballet Show" crowdfunding campaign: a system that allows direct support for individual dancers. Full Cast and Role Announcement via "Audience Participation Audition"! Unlike conventional casting methods, this time the roles were decided through an audition format that incorporated pre-voting by the audience. The audition featured top-level ballerinas who have graced The Ballet Show's stage, dancers who have performed lead roles both in Japan and internationally, and talented individuals with achievements in national competitions. Fourteen participants challenged for the eight available roles, with each choosing two roles for their audition. Furthermore, this time, "roles that viewers want each dancer to perform" were solicited from the audience in advance, and the casting audition was conducted based on these results. By having dancers take on roles not only based on their own aspirations but also carrying the expectations of the audience, this project created unprecedented combinations and new possibilities. A highlight of this project is the opportunity to see new facets of the dancers, such as those with limited lead role experience challenging major roles, or dancers strongly associated with princess roles taking on villain roles.
