Ofuro Cafe Karin no Yu, a bathing facility within the farm resort THE FARM operated by THE FARM Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Katori City, Chiba Prefecture; CEO: Yasuaki Takeda; hereinafter "THE FARM"), will host a "Picture Book Storytelling & Aufguss" event on Sunday, July 26, 2026.

The event will feature picture book readings in the indoor kids' space and Aufguss sessions in the co-ed sauna garden, each held twice daily.

Children will listen to stories while adults enjoy the warmth, fragrance, and gentle breeze—creating a relaxing experience where families can spend a slow, quality day together enjoying natural hot springs, meals, and reading.

Picture Book Storytelling: Inviting Children into the World of Stories

This will be the third time hosting the picture book storytelling event.

Two sessions are scheduled daily at 14:30 and 17:30 in the indoor kids' space.

Staff will read picture books aloud, using vocal expression and rhythm to bring the story world to life for children.

Each session lasts approximately 20 to 30 minutes, making it accessible even for young children, and enjoyable for the whole family.

At Karin no Yu, in today’s world where smartphones and videos are ever-present, we value the importance of listening to a live voice and savoring the illustrations and words of picture books together.

After the reading, families can discuss memorable scenes or characters, or search the facility for their favorite books—sparking meaningful conversations between parents and children.

Enjoying Heat, Aroma, and Wind: The Aufguss Experience

The Aufguss sessions will be held twice daily at 16:00 and 20:00 in the co-ed sauna garden.

Water or aromatic water is poured onto heated sauna stones to create steam, while staff use towels to create a soothing breeze.

Guests can enjoy the enveloping heat, fragrance, and wind spreading throughout the sauna room.

The 16:00 session offers a refreshing break after enjoying the hot springs or playing indoors.

The 20:00 session is recommended as a relaxing time to unwind and reset your body and mind at the end of the day.

Additionally, a "puffy dome" play area for children will be set up right in front of the co-ed sauna.

Since the sauna features floor-to-ceiling glass windows, parents can relax and "totonou" (feel balanced) while watching their children play.

Combine with cold baths and outdoor cooling to enjoy Karin no Yu’s unique sauna experience.
