A new original musical, 'Nikola Tesla: The Lone Genius Edison Feared', co-created by Horipro and acclaimed UK creators, is set to premiere!

Music and lyrics are by Nick Butcher, one of the most promising young creators in British theatre, featured in 'The Stage 100'—a list recognizing influential figures in UK theatre. The script is by Roger Depper, known for his hit Edinburgh Fringe show 'I Wish You Well'. Direction is by Keisuke Shimodaira, a rising star director celebrated for his bold yet nuanced approach, making his world premiere debut with this production.

This intense, thrilling musical features only four cast members, each playing multiple roles. Without intermission, the approximately 100-minute story races forward like a rollercoaster, driven by sharp, powerful music.

The cast includes Naoto Kairi, Narikawa, Megumi Hamada, and Natsumi Koon. These four top-tier performers from Japan’s leading theatre scene deliver a dynamic blend of exceptional vocal power and precise acting, vividly portraying the brilliance, inner turmoil, madness, and dreams of the lone genius Nikola Tesla.
