T League has announced that starting from the 2026-2027 season, a new "Development Organization Player Slot" will be added to the existing player registration framework.

Eligibility for this slot is limited to players belonging to development organizations (such as schools or junior teams) that meet specific requirements and are certified by the T League as official team development branches.

Registration in this category is permitted until March 31 of the fiscal year in which the player turns 18.

While the standard roster limit for each team in the 2026-2027 season is set at 12 players, teams will be allowed to register up to 2 additional players under the "Development Organization Player Slot."

Regarding match-day rosters, up to 2 development players can be named to the bench for a match; however, only 1 development player is permitted to participate in a single team match.

Furthermore, while the minimum participation rule requires a number of players equal to (total registered - 2) to compete during the season, development players are excluded from the count of non-participating players.

This initiative aligns with T League's philosophy of "realizing a system to cultivate top athletes active globally." By establishing this slot for the 2026-2027 season, the league expects to provide young athletes with more opportunities for high-level experience and growth.
