Tokuma Shoten Publishing Co., Ltd. has announced that "Mokuzugani," a suspense novel depicting the dark side of the post-disaster business by Riichi Akamatsu and winner of the 1st Haruhiko Oyabu Newcomer Award, will be adapted into a film. The movie will be directed by Koto Nagata, with planning and production by Shunji Iwai, screenplay by Riichi Akamatsu and Shunji Iwai, and production and distribution by K2 Pictures.
