Commencement of Grid-Scale Battery Storage Project in Chikuzen, Fukuoka

Tokyo Century Corporation, in partnership with Mitsubishi Estate Co., Ltd. and Itochu Corporation, has commenced construction of a high-voltage grid-scale battery storage project (67MW rated output) in Chikuzen, Fukuoka Prefecture. With the expansion of renewable energy, grid-scale batteries are becoming increasingly vital for absorbing output fluctuations and stabilizing the power grid. This project aims to contribute to regional power supply stability. Operations are scheduled to begin in January 2028, supporting the realization of a sustainable, decarbonized society.
