Tokyu Corporation and Central Japan Railway Company (JR Central) have announced the operational plans for THE ROYAL EXPRESS cruise train on JR Central tracks for November and December 2026. Two travel plans have been prepared: a 3-night, 4-day trip exploring the nature and culinary culture of Ise-Shima, and a 1-night, 2-day trip focusing on the history and culture of the Tokaido region, centered in Shizuoka.

1. Tokaido Cruise Train: Ise-Shima Tour (3 nights, 4 days) Departure Dates: Nov 6, Nov 13, and Dec 11, 2026. This will be the first time THE ROYAL EXPRESS operates in Mie Prefecture, offering experiences including the townscape of Seki-juku and the local Ama diver culture.

2. Tokaido Cruise Train: Tokaido-Fuji Tour (1 night, 2 days) Departure Dates: Nov 27, Nov 29, Dec 4, Dec 6, Dec 18, and Dec 20, 2026. A new departure point from Gifu has been set. This trip allows guests to enjoy the scenery of Mt. Fuji, a tea ceremony experience at Kakegawa Castle, and traditional craft experiences on board to taste the charm of Shizuoka.

By leveraging JR Central's regional cooperation initiatives and Tokyu's expertise, both companies aim to contribute to the revitalization of the Tokai area.
