Granberry Park, an entertainment complex directly connected to the station and located about 35 minutes from Shibuya Station via the Tokyu Den-en-toshi Line Limited Express, is operated by Tokyu Malls Development Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Koyama Koji). From Thursday, July 9, 2026, to Monday, August 31, the park will host its summer main event, the 'Granberry Insect Museum,' along with a summer-limited chilled sweets fair and sales offering discounts of up to 80%. A wide range of content will be offered, including various events enjoyable for children and their families, allowing visitors to fully enjoy the summer.

The 'Granberry Insect Museum,' the summer's main attraction, has evolved from the previously held 'World Rhinoceros Beetle & Stag Beetle Exhibition' into a more sophisticated experience enjoyable for adults as well. The rare specimen exhibition features valuable insects from overseas, offering visitors a chance to view specimens rarely seen in daily life. Additionally, the 'touch corner,' where visitors can interact directly with insects, has expanded its space to accommodate up to 40 participants simultaneously. Visitors can interact with over 100 insects, including the rare six-horned Dynephrus Geryon specimen and the popular Hercules beetle, beloved by children. Even during the hottest hours of the day, guests can comfortably enjoy insect interactions indoors. Furthermore, the 'Night Insect Observation Experience Tour,' held at the adjacent Tsuruma Park, offers a special experience where nocturnal insects can be observed with expert commentary by talent and specialist Shuku Makita.

The 'Summer Chilled Sweets Fair' features participation from 16 stores within Granberry Park. In addition to seasonal limited-edition desserts, exclusive Granberry Park menus will be available at 'Ichimaru Matcha Salar,' 'Berg no Shigatsu,' and 'Market Ghibli Coffee.' 'Market Ghibli Coffee' will also offer shaved ice and desserts made with seasonal fruits and natural spring water.

The annual 'Granberry the Bargain' event will offer attractive discounts of up to 80% at over 110 stores. Additionally, various stores within the complex will stock cooling goods, heatstroke prevention items, and other products designed to help guests comfortably enjoy the summer. This summer, visitors can enjoy a special day at Granberry Park, featuring the Insect Museum, gourmet food, and shopping, all in one place.

Granberry Insect Museum

The 'World Rhinoceros Beetle & Stag Beetle Exhibition,' previously popular among children, has been reborn this year as the 'Granberry Insect Museum,' enjoyable for both children and adults. The main rare specimen exhibition features the 'phantom six-horned rhinoceros beetle,' Dynephrus Geryon, native to Java, Indonesia, as well as 19th-century European insect jewelry. Additionally, a workshop allowing visitors to experience creating insect specimens will be held.

The 'touch corner' allows guests to observe and touch live rhinoceros and stag beetles, bringing insects closer to everyday life. Up to 40 people can participate simultaneously, making it enjoyable for both young children and adults. Additionally, a lecture by renowned Japanese entomologist Dr. Munetoshi Maruyama will be held, offering an accessible introduction to the charm and mysteries of insects.

Furthermore, a special program titled 'Night Insect Explorers – Uncover the Secrets of Insects in the Night Forest!' will be hosted with Shuku Makita, a talent and expert, as the instructor. With Dr. Makita, who holds a Ph.D. in Agriculture from the University of Tokyo, participants will observe the behavior of nocturnal insects in Tsuruma Park and learn about insect activity and their relationship with the environment. The insights and discoveries gained during the observation can be used for summer homework projects, allowing families to comfortably enjoy nature observation during the cooler evening hours.
