Nagoya Railroad and the Aichi-Nagoya Asian & Asian Para Games Organizing Committee have concluded a memorandum of understanding (MOU) regarding a partnership for the 20th Asian Games (Aichi-Nagoya 2026) and the 5th Asian Para Games (Aichi-Nagoya 2026).
Based on this MOU, the two parties are collaborating to strengthen the reception system for event personnel and overseas visitors. To this end, Nagoya Railroad will conduct an 'Inbound Training' program for its staff.
The training will feature lectures by organizing committee staff on the overview of the games and the expected role of public transportation during the events. Additionally, hospitality training led by external instructors specialized in foreign language communication will be held at the Chubu Centrair International Airport station platform, which serves as a key access point for the games.
Details are as follows:
1. Date and Time Friday, June 26: Morning Session (10:00–13:00), Afternoon Session (14:00–17:00)
2. Location Chubu Centrair International Airport Conference Room and Chubu Centrair International Airport Station Platform.
3. Training Objectives - Learn the basics of cross-cultural understanding and develop flexible responses to the diverse characteristics of international visitors. - Acquire clear, unambiguous English expressions and effective communication techniques needed in customer service settings. - Deepen understanding of the Asian Games and Asian Para Games to improve actual customer service and guidance.
4. Training Overview (Tentative) - Lecture by organizing committee staff member (Mr. Komei Taguchi) on the games overview and roles expected of public transportation. - Inbound training by instructor from Pasona HR Solutions Inc. (Ms. Ayuko Tezuka) regarding smooth and hospitable initial responses to foreign passengers, and practical English conversation communication on the Chubu Centrair station platform.
5. Participants A total of 40 Nagoya Railroad station staff and crew members (20 for the morning session, 20 for the afternoon session).
