For one day only, photomar brings its signature private studio portrait experience from Ise to Okinawa.

About photomar & Our Okinawa Tradition

Founded in 2012 in Ise, Japan, photomar is a private portrait studio known for natural, heartfelt family photography. Located near the sacred Ise Grand Shrine, the studio welcomes families from across Japan, with portrait sessions often reserved up to one year in advance.

Since 2022, photomar has traveled to Okinawa each year to offer a limited number of private studio portrait sessions.

What began as a small seasonal project has grown into a tradition, welcoming international families, military families stationed in Okinawa, and returning clients who choose to document their children's growth with us year after year.

We are deeply grateful to every family who has trusted us with their memories, and we look forward to welcoming new families to our private studio in Okinawa this summer.

A private studio portrait session designed for children and their families.

Each child wears an authentic Japanese kimono, including carefully selected antique pieces that are over 100 years old.

Every session takes place in a comfortable, air-conditioned private studio in Chatan, Okinawa, allowing families to relax and enjoy the experience regardless of the summer weather.
