Marugame Seimen Co., Ltd. announced a donation to Marugame City using a portion of the sales from two recent events: the 'Marugame Udon Festival 2025' held in November 2025 and the kitchen car sales at the '78th Kagawa Marugame International Half Marathon' in February 2026. The total donation amount is 1,693,904 yen. This includes 1,582,704 yen from the Udon Festival and 111,200 yen from the Half Marathon kitchen car. The funds are earmarked for Marugame City's 'Future-bearing Children Support Project' and the 'Marugame Castle Stone Wall Restoration Project.' The company, known for its freshly made Sanuki udon, was awarded a certificate of appreciation by the Mayor of Marugame City for these contributions. These activities are part of Marugame Seimen's broader sustainability efforts, which include diversity and inclusion initiatives like the 'Oke Kobo' for reusing wooden udon tubs, as well as educational food programs for children and reducing plastic usage across its 800+ domestic stores.
