Toshiba Lifestyle Expands "Low & Big Opening" Fully Automatic Washing Machine Lineup for Easier Loading/Unloading

Toshiba Lifestyle Corporation will release new "ZABOON" fully automatic washing machines, models AW-12DPB6 and AW-10DPB6 in June 2026, and models AW-9DPB6 and AW-8DPB6 in July 2026. These models feature an expanded "Low & Big Opening" design, which includes a wider opening and a shallower tub bottom, enhancing the ease of loading and unloading laundry. This design, previously successful in 12/10kg models (e.g., 2025 models AW-12DPB5/10DPB5/10DHB5), is now adopted for 9/8kg models. Specifically, the opening width and depth for 9/8kg types (AW-9DPB6/8DPB6) have increased by approximately 5% (from 388mm to 409mm width, and 306mm to 324mm depth) compared to 2025 models (AW-9DP5/8DP5). The new washing machines also incorporate "Antibacterial Ultra Fine Bubble Washing W" technology, extended to the 9/8kg types. This system uses ultra-fine bubbles for both washing and rinsing, effectively removing deep-seated sebum stains and preventing clothes from yellowing. Additionally, "Ag⁺ antibacterial water" is used during each wash cycle to inhibit the growth of bacteria that cause indoor drying odors. Other new models include the AW-10DHB6 (June 2026), AW-9DHB6, and AW-8DHB6 (July 2026), which are entry-level models with the "Low & Big Opening" and "Antibacterial Ultra Fine Bubble Washing W" features, along with "Clear Window" and "Back Operation Panel" for improved usability. The AW-7DH6 model, launching in June 2026, also features a "Clear Window" and offers a reduced washing time of approximately 8 minutes (from 47 minutes to 39 minutes) compared to its 2025 predecessor, AW-7DH5.
