Toyo Corporation Launches 'TestCenter D2 1.6T Appliance,' a VIAVI Tester Supporting 1.6T Ethernet

Toyo Corporation has announced the sales launch of the 'TestCenter D2 1.6T Appliance,' the newest model of the 'TestCenter' next-generation network performance tester from VIAVI Solutions Inc., starting June 10, 2026.

This solution is an advanced test platform specifically designed for 1.6T class next-generation Ethernet networks running AI workloads. It enables comprehensive validation of network performance, reliability, and interoperability for constructing increasingly high-speed data centers, AI infrastructure, and cloud environments.

Toyo Corporation plans to showcase this solution at 'Interop Tokyo 2026' held at Makuhari Messe for three days starting June 10, 2026. Notably, this solution has been nominated as a finalist for the 'Best of Show Award' at the event.

With the expansion of AI utilization, communication speeds in AI backend infrastructure are rapidly shifting from 400G and 800G to 1.6T. As conventional verification technologies often struggle to keep up, the importance of realistic validation solutions is increasing. The 'TestCenter D2 1.6T Appliance' provides scalable traffic processing capacity and industry-leading traffic generation and analysis, enabling full-scale network verification.

Key features include compliance with IEEE 802.3dj 1.6TBASE-R, supporting flexible rate settings such as the 224Gbps PAM4 mode. This enables the reproduction of large-scale AI workloads and helps reduce risks during development, verification, and deployment phases.
