Toyota Tsusho Invests 20% in PPES North American Subsidiary

Prime Planet Energy & Solutions (hereinafter, PPES) and Toyota Tsusho Corporation (hereinafter, Toyota Tsusho) are pleased to announce that Toyota Tsusho, through its U.S. local subsidiary (Toyota Tsusho America, Inc.), made a 20% investment in Prime Planet Energy & Solutions North America, Inc. (hereinafter, PPESNA), a North American subsidiary of PPES, on March 31.

PPESNA was established in September 2025* with the aim of strengthening local technical support and improving response efficiency for PPES's customers and the Toyota Group's battery business in North America. Furthermore, Toyota Tsusho, through its U.S. local subsidiary, has invested in Toyota Battery Manufacturing, North Carolina (hereinafter, TBMNC), a battery manufacturing company established by Toyota Motor Corporation in North Carolina, U.S.A. Toyota Tsusho is responsible for creating an environment that supports stable battery production, including the construction of a supply chain from procurement of production equipment and necessary materials and components to recycling.

The purpose of this investment in PPESNA is to further strengthen PPESNA's technical support system and business foundation, leveraging Toyota Tsusho's business operation know-how and knowledge of the battery supply chain cultivated in North America, as well as its collaboration with various Toyota Group companies including TBMNC.

By combining the strengths of both companies, PPES and Toyota Tsusho will contribute to the further growth and enhanced competitiveness of the Toyota Group's battery business and its customers in North America.
