Mitsubishi UFJ Trust and Banking Corporation Signs Comprehensive Partnership Agreement with Hokkaido University to Promote Sustainability

Mitsubishi UFJ Trust and Banking Corporation (President: Hiroshi Kubota) has signed a comprehensive partnership agreement with Hokkaido University (President: Kiyohiro Houkin) to promote sustainability, effective June 1, 2026, aiming to realize a sustainable society. Mitsubishi UFJ Trust and Banking has previously worked with Hokkaido University on initiatives such as offering endowed lectures in the Faculty of Economics and conducting joint research on the evaluation of transition technologies with the Center for Green Transformation (GX). Through this agreement, we will expand these individual thematic initiatives to the entire university, promoting everything from human resource development to social implementation in an integrated manner. Hokkaido and Sapporo City have been designated as a 'GX/AI Financial and Asset Management Special Zone,' and expectations are high for the accumulation of GX/AI industries and the strengthening of financial functions to support them.
