Traders Securities Co., Ltd., a member of the group engaged in foreign exchange margin trading (FX), had the opportunity to hold a special lecture on financial and economic education on April 28, 2026, as part of the 'Career Design' course offered by Specially Appointed Visiting Professor Kamihito Takeuchi at Gakushuin University. This was the second appearance in this course, following a session last December.
[Lecture Overview] The lecture was held as part of Gakushuin University’s 'Career Design I' course and was attended by approximately 220 students. The theme was 'Toward a 100-Year Life: How to Face Money in a New Era.' Yoshio Iguchi, Director of Traders Securities, who has extensive practical experience at the forefront of the foreign exchange market, served as the lecturer.
The lecture examined the fundamentals of financial literacy and asset formation, as well as the impact of economic environmental changes such as inflation and interest rate fluctuations on household budgets and investment behavior, using real-world market examples. In the second half, a mock investment workshop was introduced where students made investment decisions based on international political, economic, and social data. This served as an opportunity for students to deepen their thinking on market environments and risk factors, fostering a proactive perspective on finance.
[Social Background and Objective] In recent years, interest in asset formation among the younger generation has been rising, driven by the launch of the new NISA system and the lowering of the age of majority. However, financial troubles and investment scams via social media are also increasing. Consequently, there is an urgent need for financial literacy beyond basic knowledge, including the ability to interpret information and understand risks. The goal of this class was not just to impart financial knowledge, but to help students view finance as a personal matter in their own life planning and career development.
[Student Feedback] A post-lecture survey showed high ratings: 'Clarity' 94%, 'Understanding' 94%, 'Satisfaction' 95%, and 'Recommendation Rate' 79%. Students shared comments such as, 'I realized that learning about money is learning about how the world works,' and 'It was the most interesting 105 minutes of my university life.'
[Future Initiatives] The group will continue to promote practical financial education through partnerships with educational institutions and government agencies. Traders Securities, adhering to its 'Customer-First' policy, remains committed to creating a secure environment for individual investors and contributing to a society where everyone can invest in their future.
