TRADOM Inc. and JPYC Inc. successfully executed a cross-border stablecoin payment transaction based on actual commerce. In this transaction, TRADOM Payment processed the payment from an overseas buyer, which was then converted into Japanese Yen through JPYC EX and settled in local currency. This marks the first case in Japan where a domestic payment service provider led the process of redeeming overseas-paid stablecoins to JPY. The service launched on May 22, 2026. Future plans include API integration to automate JPYC redemption and support real-time, high-volume transactions for cross-border EC and global BtoB payments. TRADOM Co-CEOs Shinichiro Urashima and Shinichi Sakane, alongside JPYC CEO Noritaka Okabe, highlighted that this system resolves traditional cross-border payment challenges like high fees and slow processing times. TRADOM, based in Chiyoda, Tokyo, is a fintech company specializing in foreign exchange risk management solutions, utilizing data science and AI to support global businesses.
