Tranbi Awarded Okayama City Business Succession Facilitation and Support Project

Tranbi Co., Ltd. (HQ: Minato-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Satoshi Takahashi), operator of the business succession and M&A matching platform 'TRANBI,' has been awarded the contract for the 'Okayama City Business Succession Facilitation and Support Project' for the fiscal year 2026.

This marks the third consecutive year the company has been awarded this project, following fiscal years 2024 and 2025. Leveraging the support know-how and insights gained from successful transactions, Tranbi aims to further contribute to the business succession of more local businesses in Okayama City.

### Training Sessions for Support Personnel As part of this year's efforts, Tranbi will host two types of 'Succession Support Personnel Training' starting in June 2026 to increase the number of people who can support third-party succession within Okayama City. The two programs are: 'Succession Needs Discovery Training' (online; available June 19, June 23, or July 7) and 'Succession Companion Support Training' (at Okayama Convention Center; June 30 & July 1). Participation in both is free.

### Background and Track Record Since the project's inception in 2024, Tranbi has received inquiries regarding lack of successors from 11 local businesses and provided companion support for third-party succession. In fiscal year 2025, this initiative led to the successful third-party succession of the long-established 'Ogura Shoten Co., Ltd.', a fish wholesaler at the Okayama City Central Wholesale Market.

### Overview of the Project Since 2024, Okayama City has been implementing initiatives to provide companion support for third-party succession to address the issue of lack of successors among local SMEs. Through this project, support personnel trained by Okayama City assist business owners with services—from posting on TRANBI to coordinating contact and interviews with potential successors—all for free.

### Succession Story: Ogura Shoten After operating the business for nearly 30 years, Mr. Ogura applied to this project following a city survey. With support from project personnel and the use of the TRANBI platform, he engaged in negotiations with over 10 candidates. In November 2025, the business was successfully transferred to Mr. Nakahara, a 35-year-old manager with experience in a different industry. This succession is fostering market revitalization and new business expansion.

### Contributing to Regional Revitalization With an aging management population, the lack of successors among local SMEs in Okayama City remains high. Tranbi aims to bolster the role of local governments as 'hubs' that connect business owners, support organizations, and professional institutions by promoting local third-party succession through its platform and municipal partnerships.
