TricoLogic, an AI startup born from the Yanagawa Seminar and the Matsuo Research Laboratory at the University of Tokyo (Headquarters: Osaka; CEO: Akimasa Nishio), will hold its inaugural AI seminar and networking event, 'AI OSAKA Meetup vol.1,' on Wednesday, June 3, 2026. The event will take place at the 'Blooming Camp Event Square' inside JAM BASE, located in the Grand Green Osaka North Building in the Umekita area. Participation is free, with a capacity of 50 people.
Background: Why Osaka instead of Tokyo? TricoLogic relocated its headquarters from Tokyo to Osaka in 2023 and has been expanding its AI business from this city. Its initiatives in Osaka are growing steadily: - Partnered with the Osaka Prefectural Board of Education to conduct AI training for high school teachers. - Held AI seminars for SME owners in cooperation with The Osaka Shinkin Bank. - Conducted AI/DX training for executives at the Nomura Securities Osaka Branch. - Hosted AI utilization courses at Kansai University Umeda Campus (KANDAI Me RISE). - Spearheaded a project to shorten pipe selection work for skilled factory workers from 15 minutes to 15 seconds using AI. - Enabled a 69-year-old employee with no prior programming experience to automate business operations using AI.
All these initiatives across government, financial institutions, universities, and SMEs have taken place in Osaka. To further expand this movement, TricoLogic is launching 'AI OSAKA Meetup' as a place for Osaka business professionals to learn about and connect over AI across various industries.
