Effective March 26, 2026, our company has renewed its management team, appointing Associate Professor Shunpei Iwao from the Faculty of Business and Commerce at Keio University as CEO, and Mr. Naoki Kobayashi, a technologist who previously developed a NEXT unicorn health management system, as COO/CTO. We have entered a new startup phase, launching the '100-Year Company Succession Company' strategy—continuously inheriting long-established businesses while driving corporate innovation through deep tech from both humanities and sciences to carry these legacy firms into their next century.

In this context, we are pleased to announce the initiation of a business alliance (hereinafter referred to as 'this alliance') with MZXS Co., Ltd. (hereinafter 'MZXS'), Japan’s largest manufacturer of industrial and agricultural drones. This collaboration focuses on co-developing a drone AI autonomous operation platform to support operational innovation in traditional enterprises. The system will initially be deployed as a drone and robotics solution for business transformation. Additionally, through bundled sales with MZXS drone units, we will jointly pursue diversified application development and revenue sharing. Furthermore, both parties will discuss the possibility of a future capital alliance upon reviewing the outcomes of this collaboration.

1. Background and Purpose of the Alliance

Under our medium- to long-term growth strategy 'TRIiS 2.0,' announced on April 15, 2026, we have positioned the succession of 100-year-old companies through M&A and value enhancement via cutting-edge technologies as the core of our growth strategy. As foundational pillars for execution, we have established 'Smart Investment' to enhance investment decision-making and 'Smart Company Transformation' to systematize post-investment value creation.

This alliance aims to leverage our internally developed Smart Company Transformation technologies—with an eye toward future external sales and new revenue streams—by introducing and integrating system development services utilizing drone technology, artificial intelligence (AI), and information engineering into the operational workflows of century-old and traditional companies we acquire through M&A. This will support value enhancement after their integration into our group. For example, in fields such as manufacturing, construction, agriculture, forestry, logistics, disaster prevention, and infrastructure maintenance, drones can be utilized for inspections, surveying, transportation, safety management, work logging, and remote monitoring.

MZXS is one of Japan’s largest manufacturers specializing in the development, manufacturing, and sales of industrial drones, with strengths in drone deployment and digital transformation (DX) support across agriculture, forestry, construction, disaster prevention, and logistics. The company offers a range of drone systems tailored to field applications, including the 'Tsubasa Series' for agriculture, 'MoriTsubasa Series' for forestry, 'Keisuke Series' for transportation, and 'Nobisuke Series' for electrical installations.

Through this alliance, we will combine our expertise in world-class management science and information engineering—including AI—for system development with MZXS’s expertise in industrial drone development, manufacturing, sales, on-site deployment, and operational support. By advancing Smart Company Transformation through AI and robotics, we aim to enhance overall group productivity and secure new revenue sources.
