Tokyo — April 10 — Trulite Korea (Japanese subsidiary: Trulite LLC), a Seoul-based digital content company, is accelerating the full-scale expansion in Japan of 'PENTA', a multilingual, vertical-scrolling picture book platform featuring Disney and Pixar titles. The lineup has now expanded to over 200 titles.

This app is already available in 74 countries and regions worldwide, and has been providing services in Japan as well. Furthermore, this initiative marks the first time Disney picture books have been offered in a vertical-scrolling format in the Asia-Pacific region and Latin America. While initially distributing about 100 Disney and Pixar titles, it currently offers over 200 titles.

Going forward, new titles will be added weekly, aiming to build a library of 2,000 titles ultimately. Also, readers can enjoy stories while switching between up to 3 languages simultaneously, with support for Japanese, English, Korean, and Spanish. Furthermore, Simplified Chinese is scheduled to be added by 2026.

This initiative is an example of expressing Disney's publishing tradition, spanning over 100 years, in the new format of vertical scrolling, presenting new possibilities for the online reading style rapidly spreading across Asia. In addition, new stories inspired by recent Disney and Pixar titles such as 'Zootopia 2', 'Moana 2', and 'Frozen 2' will also be provided.
