TRUNK(HOTEL) CAT STREET to Host LIVE MUSIC Event 'As One' Vol.3 on July 31 (Fri)

TRUNK(HOTEL) CAT STREET, a boutique hotel located in Shibuya Ward's Jingumae district, will host the third installment of its live music event 'As One' on Friday, July 31, 2026, at its main lounge, TRUNK(LOUNGE).

Conceived and produced by artist Nao Kawamura, the event is themed around 'a one-night playground where artists move fluidly between the mainstream and underground scenes.' The first edition in July 2025 featured SIRUP, aimi, and NAGAN SERVER, while the second in January 2026 welcomed Ryosuke Takaiwa, Grace Aimi, and Shota Takagi (BREIMEN), collectively captivating over 700 audience members to date. 'As One' has evolved into a unique space where artists and audiences connect beyond boundaries, offering an intimate experience of music being created in real time.

For Vol.3, frontman guests include Jeremy Quartus—the solo project of Nulbarich vocalist JQ—Akko Gorilla, a Japanese alternative rapper who creates festive soundscapes under the concept 'Fragmentation is Light,' and Tab Zombie, trumpeter of the instrumental jazz quartet SOIL&"PIMP"SESSIONS. On the night, these four accomplished artists will perform their own songs, specially arranged and presented with a one-day-only band formation. Between sets, spontaneous jam sessions will encourage interaction among performers and attendees, with impromptu guest appearances by other artists also welcome. Attendees can look forward to a special stage where improvisational musical expressions intersect.

【Artist Profiles】

Nao Kawamura

An alternative pop singer known for her voice that blends delicacy and strength, transforming societal dissonance into music. Self-producing and writing her songs, she has released over four EPs and albums. She has performed at major festivals such as FUJI ROCK and SUMMER SONIC and currently co-hosts the 'As One' series regularly with TRUNK(HOTEL).

Jeremy Quartus

A solo project launched in July 2025 by JQ, vocalist of Nulbarich. Drawing from extensive experience influenced by hip-hop, R&B, and broader Black culture, he aims for a more personal and introspective form of expression, handling lyrics, composition, arrangement, and production. He also produces for other artists and performs as a DJ.

Akko Gorilla

A Japanese alternative rapper who fuses global indigenous and border music with hip-hop, creating celebrations under the concept 'Fragmentation is Light.' She began as a drummer and served as the main navigator for J-WAVE’s music program 'SONAR MUSIC' for about five years. She has continued experimental cross-genre and cross-industry collaborations and performed at FUJI ROCK FESTIVAL in 2023. Since going independent, she has entered a new phase of refining her artistic expression.

Tab Zombie (SOIL&"PIMP"SESSIONS)

Hailing from Kagoshima Prefecture, Tab Zombie is the trumpeter of SOIL&"PIMP"SESSIONS, known for dynamic live performances. With solid technical skill and a cool demeanor, he delivers rough, entertaining, and explosive 'blast jazz.' The band enjoys popularity both in Japan and overseas, having performed at major international jazz festivals such as Glastonbury (UK), Montreux Jazz Festival (Switzerland), and North Sea Jazz Festival (Netherlands), with over 100 performances across 31 countries. He has also participated in numerous recording sessions with other artists and is a founding organizer of the local festival 'THE GREAT SATSUMANIAN HESTIVAL' in Kagoshima since 2018.
