TSI Corporation (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Akasaka; President and CEO: Tsuyoshi Shimoji), which operates the representative American leather brand "Schott (ショット)" founded in 1913, is launching a new high-end line called "PERFECTO (パーフェクト)" that further deepens the brand's identity and pursues uncompromising material selection, details, and craftsmanship using stories from carefully selected materials from Japan and abroad.

The commemorative first installment of "PERFECTO," which will regularly release special products in the future, is a collaboration with "GYPSY & SONS (ジプシーアンドサンズ)," which possesses a unique worldview.

This luxurious piece revives the "Hyakko," renowned as a masterpiece of vintage Aloha shirts, in high-quality linen material with indigo dyeing. The meticulously recreated Hyakko pattern is reproduced using discharge printing, where indigo dye is removed from the back of the fabric using hand-dyeing by skilled artisans. Unlike prints applied to the surface, removing the color from the back creates beautiful shades of indigo and a rich, expressive depiction that surpasses the original. For the details, high-grade nut buttons carved from natural corozo are used. This is a carefully considered specification that will develop a deep flavor with use, along with the fabric.

The deep, rich black-brown color, which cannot be achieved with chemical dyes, is a testament to the handwork of skilled artisans. Schott (ショット)

In 1913, brothers Irving Schott and Jack Schott started the brand in New York. In 1928, they introduced the first motorcycle jacket in the world to feature a front zipper. This zippered rider's jacket influenced the specifications of later rider's jackets. Due to Marlon Brando wearing a leather rider's jacket in the 1953 film "The Wild One," the "One Star" model, introduced by Schott in the 50s with star-shaped studs on the epaulets, also became popular. In the 1970s, during the rock and punk boom, it was favored by many musicians such as the Ramones and the Sex Pistols. Celebrating its 100th anniversary in 2013, it is an undisputed leader in leather brands. The leather jackets, which continue to be produced in the USA with pride, are loved and supported worldwide.
