TSP Taiyo Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Meguro-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Kago Ikezawa) will host the urban summer festival event 'Ariake Summer Splash,' which it plans, operates, and sets up, every weekend in August (excluding the 29th and 30th) at 'livedoor URBAN SPORTS PARK' in Ariake, Tokyo.

Organized by Tokyo Sports Wellness Village Co., Ltd., this event further enhances the popular water play activity 'Water Saba-ge' from last summer, where participants get completely soaked. It combines a budget-friendly '1-Coin Festival' and a 'Chilled Food Fest' featuring cool cuisine, creating an urban summer festival where families can enjoy a full day of fun.

Under strict safety management aligned with heatstroke alerts (WBGT), the event proposes a 'new way to spend summer' by offering nearby water play experiences.

Background and Vision for 'Ariake Summer Splash'

Nationwide extreme heat is expected again in summer 2026, strengthening the trend of avoiding outdoor play due to high temperatures. Additionally, prolonged high prices and yen depreciation have led people across all generations to avoid long-distance travel and instead seek valuable experiences in nearby areas. In response, this event was conceived with the idea of turning 'play itself into heatstroke prevention' by fully enjoying cooling water activities. It is planned as an event accessible from the city center, allowing participants to experience the liberating feeling of summer without spending on transportation or accommodation, offering excellent cost-performance. To ensure thorough heatstroke and temperature countermeasures, the venue is equipped with mist fans, mist showers, ice for cooling down, and water play pools. The environment allows safe outdoor play while engaging all five senses in a cool, refreshing experience. This event blends exciting water play with traditional summer festivals (matsuri) to create a new urban leisure experience that will color Tokyo's summer in 2026.

The highly popular water gun battle from last summer returns with significant enhancements. This year, the playing courts have been greatly expanded and upgraded. We offer a variety of games suitable for all ages and genders, including the 'Kids Water Battle' (10 vs 10) and 'Everyone, Take Down the Hunter!' where everyone teams up to defeat a target.
