Tsuruya Yoshinobu, a Japanese confectionery manufacturer and retailer (Headquarters: Kamigyo-ku, Kyoto; Representative Director and President: Shinichiro Inada), is currently selling special Japanese sweets to convey gratitude for Father's Day on June 21st. The official online shop is accepting orders until 12:00 PM on Thursday, June 18th, including exclusive web-only items.
Limited Edition 'Sangria Yokan' Inspired by 'Sangria,' a wine cocktail made by soaking fruit and spices in wine, this slightly 'adult-oriented' Yokan is available for special pre-order on the online shop. Crafted by artisans, it features three layers: a white bean paste Yokan infused with red wine from the Tanba region, a red wine-infused kohakukan (agar jelly), and a transparent kohakukan. Candied fruits (strawberry, yellow peach, pear, grape, pineapple, orange) are layered within. The cross-section reveals a vibrant gradation. Price: 1,998 yen (single); 3,186 yen (set). Note: Contains less than 1% alcohol due to red wine usage.
Coffee and Wagashi Set In cooperation with 'Circus Coffee' in Kitayama, Kyoto, sets combining their special original blend coffee—previously available only at Tsuruya Yoshinobu-operated cafes—and popular confectionery are available exclusively online. Price: 2,570 yen to 4,126 yen.
Early Summer Matcha Sweets Refreshing assortments featuring 'Brown Sugar Warabi Matcha Pudding,' 'Kyokanze Matcha,' and 'Tsubara Tsubara Matcha' are also available.
Father's Day Gift Wrapping Customers can select 'Father's Day Special Wrapping' when ordering through the online shop.
