Tsuzuki Denki Supports 'Hokkaido Taiki Town Spaceport Project' via Corporate Hometown Tax Donation

Tsuzuki Denki Co., Ltd. (Representative Director and President: Katsuyuki Yoshida, Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo) has made a donation to Taiki Town, Hokkaido, utilizing the Corporate Hometown Tax Donation program. This contribution is intended to support the further expansion of the 'Hokkaido Spaceport Project (HOSPO),' which is based at the 'Taiki Town Multi-Purpose Aviation Park.' On May 21, the company received a certificate of appreciation at a presentation ceremony held at the Taiki Town Space Exchange Center, SORA.

In recent years, labor shortages due to a declining working-age population have become a critical issue for local economies. Drawing on its extensive experience in providing IT services to companies and local governments, Tsuzuki Denki has been seeking more direct ways to contribute to regional development. In this process, the company strongly identified with Taiki Town's advanced approach to sustainable regional revitalization centered on the space industry, leading to this support. The 'Hokkaido Spaceport Project (HOSPO)' is a commercial spaceport that began full-scale operations in April 2021, aiming to realize a 'Space Silicon Valley' that promotes regional revitalization through the growth of the space industry. Working in collaboration with the operator, SPACE COTAN, Inc., the project is building a multifaceted industrial ecosystem that includes not only rocket launch infrastructure but also the creation of businesses using satellite data and the development of shared office spaces.
