Tully's Coffee Japan will launch 'Honduras Forest of Erandique' on June 10. This specialty coffee is grown in the Erandique region of Lempira, western Honduras, where coffee cherries slowly ripen under moderate sunlight and shade. The beans feature a refreshing citrus flavor, high-quality acidity, brown sugar sweetness, and a smooth, syrupy finish. It retails for 1,680 yen per 150g bag. Tully's also introduces a pairing food item, 'Crispy Cookie Danish - Citrus & Cheese' (370 yen, tax included) on the same day. To improve quality, agricultural experts like Rony Gamez, formerly of IHCAFE (Honduras Coffee Institute) and founder of RAGA, support and educate local smallholder farmers in Erandique on harvesting and fermentation management. These partnerships help young coffee growers learn systematic cultivation, processing, and cupping, fostering sustainable high-quality coffee production in harmony with nature.
