[About Tokyo Women's Medical University School of Nursing]

Our school's predecessor was the Midwifery and Nursing Training Institute, established in 1930 (Showa 5) as an affiliate of Tokyo Women's Medical University. After several transitions, it became known by its current name in 1995 (Heisei 7). In 2021 (Reiwa 3), a new school building was completed adjacent to the newly established Adachi Medical Center, preceding the center's opening. Including its predecessor, approximately 3,000 graduates have been active as nurses and midwives at our affiliated hospital and medical institutions nationwide.

[Our Education]

Under the founding spirit and philosophy of "Sincerity and Love," our school adheres to its admission policy, curriculum policy, and diploma policy, fostering rich humanity and developing individuals who can contribute broadly to society. Faculty and staff are dedicated to supporting students in all aspects of their school life, building strong relationships and providing close guidance to help them acquire the necessary skills as nurses and midwives, as well as develop compassionate nursing abilities to care for patients.

Furthermore, to cultivate student initiative, we encourage active participation in student recruitment activities. Centered around the theme of "Inheriting Tradition," second-year public relations committee members lead efforts involving all grades in activities such as open campuses, trial classes, and information sessions for working adults. These activities serve as a driving force for students to engage in their education and practical training with a sense of ownership by reflecting on their own origins. Additionally, by supporting the dreams of prospective students and guiding them to become "future medical professionals," we contribute to the advancement of healthcare.
