"Nanana's Birthday Party 2026" Held on July 4, 2026 (Sat) at Tokyo Skytree Town®

Nanana, the TV Tokyo banana employee, will celebrate her 13th birthday on July 7 (Tue) tomorrow. Three days before this momentous occasion, on July 4 (Sat), "Nanana's Birthday Party 2026" was held at Tokyo Skytree Town®!

The event was hosted by R-1 Grand Prix champion Pinku Machiura, who also emceed last year's event. They were joined by new TV Tokyo announcers Serino Suzuki and Rio Kitagawa. A star-studded lineup of guests took the stage, including Osomatsu, the eldest of the six brothers from the TV anime "Osomatsu-san," celebrating its 10th anniversary; Keroro Gunsō from the currently screening "New Movie Version☆Keroro Gunsō: The Great Invasion of the Earth Begins Immediately!"; Dot Zarashi, the mischievous seal from "SEALOOK," whose 2nd season is confirmed for broadcast; and voice actors Kumiko Watanabe and Etsuko Kozakura from "Keroro Gunsō." With various stage events, character greetings, and high-touch sessions, a large crowd of fans filled the venue, much to Nanana's delight. It was another lively birthday party surrounded by the best of friends!

Nanana Delighted by a Shower of "Happy Birthday!" and "Congratulations!" Blessings! New Announcers Present Music and Dance

The star of the day, Nanana, appeared on stage with MCs Pinku Machiura and the fans' cheers of "Nananaaa!". Congratulations and celebratory shouts of "Congratulations!!" echoed from all around the venue. Announcer Kitagawa then presented Nanana with music! She performed "Happy Birthday" on the flute, an instrument she had played for 13 years since the 4th grade of elementary school, leading the venue in a chorus of "♪Happy Birthday to You~". According to Pinku Machiura, Nanana seemed to be in high spirits, "enjoying an elegant Saturday." Not to be outdone, Announcer Suzuki celebrated with her signature cheerleading motions (quick, dynamic movements using arms and legs). With a shout of "Happy Birthday to Nanana!", her sharp moves excited Nanana, who exclaimed, "I want to try that!" They then danced to "Nanana no Nanana Taiso" (Nanana's Nanana Exercise) with everyone gathered, to express their "Congratulations, Nanana!" Nanana looked incredibly happy seeing everyone dance together and hearing the cheers from the opening. For the photo session, she not only struck her usual "7 poses" but also the "Roppongi pose" and the "'Na' pose," expressing her joy with her whole body.

"It's Keroro Gunsō!" Kumiko Watanabe & Etsuko Kozakura Also Appear! Quiz Competition with Keroro Gunsō and Others!

On stage, a quiz competition was held with popular characters who came to celebrate! In a quiz with Dot Zarashi from the 3D anime "SEALOOK," which features over 100 unique seals, questions centered around "SEALOOK" were asked, such as "Seals, dolphins, and whales are not fish, but what class of animals?" There were even questions like "What sound does a seal make?" Since Pinku Machiura had pre-announced, "Anyone who gives a funny answer gets a prize even if it's wrong!" and "Jokes are welcome!", brave participants from the audience emerged one after another! Not only correct answers, but for a question like "What is the height of Tokyo Skytree in meters?", a comedic answer like "Kojiro (634m = referring to Musashi)" was given, leading to an unexpectedly exciting atmosphere!

Next, from the super popular "Keroro Gunsō," Keroro Gunsō himself, along with voice actors Kumiko Watanabe (as Keroro Gunsō) and Etsuko Kozakura (as Sergeant Tamama), took the stage. Their greeting, "It's Keroro Gunsō!" was met with enthusiastic cheers of "Kyaaa!" from passionate fans, instantly livening up the stage! They congratulated Nanana on her birthday with their familiar character voices, saying, "Happy Birthday, Nanana!" During the talk segment, Pinku Machiura revealed a behind-the-scenes story, "They were so close and in sync in the dressing room." When asked about "What do you pay attention to as professional voice actors in your daily lives?", they shared valuable insights into their personal lives: "Expressing what you feel with your five senses. You can't help but make sounds even if people are around" (Watanabe), and "My throat is weak, so I go to bed early at 8 PM the night before work" (Kozakura). They also responded to a challenging request to "answer what you ate yesterday, embodying your respective characters." Watanabe replied, "Shrimp cocktail," while Kozakura said, "Convenience store yakisoba," both in their iconic voices, thrilling the audience with their contrasting meals.

Furthermore, a birthday message from [Artist Name], who performed the opening and theme songs for "New Movie Version☆Keroro Gunsō," appeared as the voice of the researcher robot, and serves as the promotional ambassador for the anime's 20th-anniversary project, was played, much to Nanana's delight! During the quiz session at this time, questions related to "Keroro Gunsō" were also asked. Finally, a "What is a line Keroro Gunsō would absolutely never say?" type of question, where any funny answer would be considered correct, was posed. Kumiko Watanabe and Etsuko Kozakura actually read out their answers! The quiz competition became incredibly heated, especially since the prizes for correct answers were super rare goods: signed towels and stickers from Watanabe and Kozakura.

Osomatsu is Too Good at Rock-Paper-Scissors!? Grand Finale with Everyone's Return

From "Osomatsu-san," which celebrated its 10th anniversary since the anime's broadcast, the eldest brother, Osomatsu, appeared, receiving cheers of "So cool~!" from his eagerly awaiting fans. Nanana and Osomatsu, who had met at last year's birthday event during a greeting session, seemed delighted by their reunion, playfully interacting and hugging in a friendly atmosphere. To liven up Nanana's birthday party, Osomatsu hosted a rock-paper-scissors tournament between himself and the audience! Although six winners were scheduled to receive a set of "Osomatsu-san" and Nanana merchandise, Osomatsu kept winning no matter how many rounds were played, leading to a situation where a winner couldn't be decided for a long time. It was a very intense rock-paper-scissors tournament.

Pinku Machiura also performed a special on-stage routine! He delivered his unique "fictional storytelling" that even made Nanana gasp (!), showcasing the power of an R-1 Grand Prix champion and greatly entertaining the audience. Afterward, a high-touch session was held between Nanana and Keroro Gunsō, and Nanana and Osomatsu. Nanana, blushing as fans offered their congratulations directly, bowed deeply and jumped up and down. She seemed reluctant to leave after the final high-five.

Finally, Nanana and her friends reappeared on stage! With Osomatsu, Keroro Gunsō, and Dot Zarashi all gathered, the stage became crowded, and the celebratory mood for Nanana reached its peak! Despite the overcast sky, no umbrellas were needed, and this year's "Nanana's Birthday Party" concluded successfully, enveloped in a chorus of "girlish cheers."
