1. Purpose

The university is committed to fostering 'glocal' human resources—individuals who combine a global perspective with the practical ability to solve local issues, leveraging their specialized knowledge and language skills.

With the sponsorship of Nihonkai Shinkin Bank, the university has established a new grant-type scholarship system for undergraduate students interested in working in the western region of Shimane Prefecture. This system combines overseas study with work experience at the bank. A collaboration agreement has been signed to jointly develop glocal human resources.

2. Overview of Collaboration

- Establishment of the grant-type scholarship system 'Regional Collaboration Enterprise Study Abroad Grant Scholarship' under the sponsorship of Nihonkai Shinkin Bank, combining overseas study and work experience at the bank. - Implementation of a short-term study abroad program at Lapu-Lapu Cebu International University in the Philippines, integrated with preliminary learning at Nihonkai Shinkin Bank and post-return work experience. - By combining overseas study with local work experience, the program aims to cultivate human resources with both international perspectives and local problem-solving abilities (a new model of 'long-term practical career education'). - Target: Undergraduate students at the Hamada Campus. - Scholarship amount: 200,000 yen per person, with approximately 2 recipients per year planned (fully funded by Nihonkai Shinkin Bank).
