Uber Eats Japan LLC held its 'Delivery Partner Dialogue Session' in Nagoya on April 9-10, 2026 — the first such event in the city and the 6th session since the initiative launched in 2023. Thirty-four delivery partners participated, engaging directly with Uber Eats staff on three topics prioritized in a pre-event survey: app specifications, delivery request content, and compensation. On app specs, partners raised concerns about operability, in-app map accuracy, difficulty tracking waypoints for multi-drop orders, and UI/UX improvements to the offer card screen. On delivery requests, discussions covered efficient route and order selection for multi-drop deliveries and rare cases of unmanageable order volumes, with Uber Eats recommending partners avoid forcing oversized or overweight deliveries and contact support. On compensation, partners expressed concerns about delivery fees not reflecting distance and effort, and sought more individually tailored incentive designs; Uber Eats explained its dynamic pricing system and ongoing demand expansion through new services including Uber Direct and Courier. Three improvements made in response to past sessions were highlighted: (1) customer name display changed from 'First. Last initial' to 'First initial. Last' effective late April 2026; (2) all delivery destination addresses now viewable immediately after accepting a request via the Activity Guide; (3) optional weekly cross-day quests introduced, selectable by partners in the Uber Driver app.
