Uber Eats Japan announced that the number of stores adopting 'Pick, Pack, Pay' (PPP), a system where delivery partners handle in-store product picking and payment, exceeded 3,000 as of April 2026. OK Corporation has also begun adopting PPP, starting with stores like Takadanobaba, and plans to expand the service. Because PPP allows retailers to introduce delivery with minimal impact on store staff, its adoption in the retail industry is surging. Uber Eats plans to continue accelerating its deployment across supermarkets and drugstores nationwide.
